Big Fish

Last night we went to see the Big Fish. We saw the fish on a video when we were at the Tile Museum in Ironbridge and Paul said he would take me to see it when we went to Belfast. It is a very impressive fish.

While I was having my photo taken it tried to eat me! I was very scared, I think I will avoid big fish in the future.

I needed to have a big drink afterwards!

We are coming home tonight, I have had a lovely time, but I look forward to seeing Zoë this evening.

Belfast Sights

We saw some of the sights of Belfast after work last night. We saw the Belfast Wheel next to the impressive Belfast City Hall. It was late when we left work so there wasn't much time for sight seeing as we were hungry and needed to get some dinner.

I managed to stand on some railings without falling off for a change!

We went to Cafe Vaudeville for dinner and drinks. Cafe Vaudeville is Paul's favourite place to eat in Belfast, I am glad he took me there so I could taste the yummy food he is always telling Zoë and I about.

Hotel

Paul and I are staying at a Premier Inn in Belfast. We have a lovely big room, a massive bed, a TV, and a desk.

This is my bed.

The bed is very comfortable and I slept very well last night.

I had a big dinner last night, goujons(see picture below) followed by sausages and mash, yummy!

I have just come back from breakfast, I only had juice this morning, I wasn't very hungry after my big dinner last night.

Going to Belfast

I am going to Belfast with Paul this week. We had to leave very early this morning to go to Birmingham International Airport, I was able to see some planes out of the window.

We have arrived in Belfast now, it is a lovely day, much better than the Midlands. I must stay quietly in Paul's pocket today while he is working, but we will be going out for dinner this evening.

Meet Mr Brown

This is Mr Brown, he is my oldest friend. Like me his is only small. It is nice to have a friend that is my own size. Mr Brown is made from felt, not knitted like me.

Mr Brown likes staying at home drinking tea and eating cake so he doesn't usually join me on my adventures. This Saturday I went to visit Mr Brown in his new house. He has only just moved in, he hasn't had time to decorate yet or unpack his stuff. We were still able to eat cake though!

Mr Brown has a black cat called Mrs Black. Mr Brown likes reading and has a big pile of books. Sometimes Mr Brown lends me a book to read, I am usually too busy to read, but do enjoy adventure stories.

Mr Brown is going to be busy getting his new house in order for a few weeks, he has invited me for tea when he has finished decorating.

Holiday

I have recently returned from my summer holiday. I stayed in a hotel near Bridgnorth with Zoë and Paul.

This is me at James May's plasticine garden that is currently at Sudbury Hall. I would have liked to walk around the garden, but it was not allowed, I am sure no one would have noticed me and I am too small to do much damage to it.

I enjoyed seeing the Ironbridge, the whole area is very pretty and so green. However, I suffered a potentially serious accident just after this photo was taken. I was standing on some railings having another photo taken when I fell off, it was a drop of about 5-6 metres, that is a long was for someone of my size. Luckily the railings were above a footpath and not the ones on the bridge or I would have been washed away by the River Severn. Zoë was very worried about me and had to run down the road and back along the footpath to find me. Luckily I wasn't hurt, being knitted has its advantages.

While I was in Ironbridge I went to visit the Merrythought teddy bear shop and museum, I enjoyed seeing all the bears, they looked very friendly. I had my photo taken with this very large bear, you can just see me sitting on his shoulder, but I do blend in quite well.

Zoë felt so bad about my terrible accident earlier in the day that they took me out to dinner. We went to the OK Diner in Cannock. I had a beanburger with cheese and mushroom, coleslaw, and curly fries. To drink I had a big milkshake and for pudding pancakes and syrup. I let Zoë share with me as there was quite a lot of food.

I haven't been anywhere since my holiday and have been spending my time setting up this blog. I hope you have enjoyed hearing about my holiday. This weekend I am going to see my friend Mr Brown, so I will introduce him to you in my next post.

Hello my name is ManE

Hello, my name is ManE (pronounced man ee) and I am a little knitted man. I am 50mm tall and about 20 years old (so old I have lost count!). I have spent all my life living with Zoë, we have enjoyed lots of good times together and I have helped her out with important events such as exams, driving test, and her wedding day, she thinks I am her lucky charm. I now live not just with Zoë, but with her husband Paul as well.

This is me driving a big corvette, it is Paul's corvette, he is very kind and lets me borrow it sometimes.

One of my most impressive achievements occurred earlier this year. I went all the way to the top of the Aiguille du Midi, during our holiday to Chamonix in the French Alps. Zoë was very scared of being on the top of a mountain, but I loved it. I even had a hot chocolate while I was up there!
